CATEGORY MANAGER (MAINTAIN REPAIR OPERATIONS, UPHOLSTERY, OFFICE SUPPLY)
- PROCUREMENT & PLANNING POSITIONS -

In line with overall categories, business unit and company strategies and by representing Procurement in cross-functional teams:
• Define and lead own category strategy
• Be fully accountable for own category performance and maximize savings
• Drive the realization of savings initiatives, supply efficiency, quality, and process improvements in own category
Relationship:
· Interior: PD, designer, ME, Lighting team, Upholstery team, Production departments, Purchasing, Warehouse, Im-Ex Dept, CS, QA, QC, HR, HSE.
· Exterior: Suppliers, manufacturers, sub-contractors.

Define and lead own category strategy and strategic sourcing
• Cost assessment / intelligence on indices of commodity buy (Volume Price Strategy, Supply Chain analysis and measures to decrease supply chain costs with suppliers, Market indices analysis to help negotiate rebates, discounts, price with suppliers
• Developing effective supplier strategies by incorporate business leaders into decision making (4 basics of supplier relationship management)
• Maintain good relationship with suppliers, always value the partnership of both local & oversea vendors through top management.
· Ensure that the team execute the category strategy and actions as required
Key Performance Indicators
· Quality, price, delivery meet RSC target. and agreed.
· Lead subcontractor audit
· Assess potential and risks associated with subcontractor’s capacity & capabilities and market changes and integrate with category and sourcing strategies and communicate to all relevant departments.
· Ensure the implementation and tracking of category performance indicators and achieved results.
· Assume full accountability for delivering targeted bottom line results for the category
· Provide regular reports and updates to Procurement and BU management as required
· Where Compliance is an issue, report, find and eliminate root causes in agreement with Senior Procurement Manager.
· Other tasks as required by management

· Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, Internet, and Office processing software.
· Accountable, assertive, transparent, honest, enthusiastic, dedicated and result oriented
· Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate convincingly at all levels and with all functions in English
· Effective time management, organization skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and drive tasks to completion in a fixed timeframe and in a pressured environment
· Ability to work with cross-functional teams and build relationships across multiple functions, countries, regions, and cultures
· Demonstrated broad understanding of the content, processes, and delivery channels in the field of each categories
· Ability to deal with ambiguities, conflicts, and adversarial relationships
· Proven ability to identify problems quickly, make sound judgments, establish, and implement solutions
· Minimum 4 years work experience in strategic procurement role (category management, sourcing) with exposure to supply chain management, complex strategic sourcing and optimal procurement processes and standards
